Macclesfield Museum

Year 4 had an incredible visit to Macclesfield Museum, diving into the wonders of Ancient Egypt! We had the exciting opportunity to handle replica artefacts and were guided by none other than "Marianne Brocklehurst" herself (a brilliant actress portrayal), who transported us back in time to her thrilling adventures in Egypt. She shared stories of her travels to collect artefacts, including the stunning mummy case that was a real highlight of the day! We also explored many fascinating artefacts behind glass, each with captivating stories of their origins and how they made their way to the museum, founded by Brocklehurst in 1888.
