School Council
Our School Council are an important part of school life here at Rode Heath Primary School. Each year, our children vote who they would like to represent their class on the school council. The school council meet regularly to discuss issues within the school and ensure each class has a platform to voice their opinions.
Their main responsibilities include:
- Collating ideas from each of their classes
- Making sure children's voices and opinions throughout the school are listened to and where possible acted upon
- Organising fund-raising activities
- Hosting events and greeting important visitors
- Advertising our events
- Helping school leaders to make decisions like which teachers will work at our school
- Meeting with Governors of our school to tell them what the children think
This year's school councillors are:
Niamh & Norah Year 2
Lydia & Ethan Year 3
Henry & Lola Year 4
Flynn & Holly Year 5
Kamani, Leah, Isla H & Pippa Year 6
What do we do in the meetings?
Each councillor meets with their own class to discuss ideas about changes and improvements to the school. These are then raised in the school council meetings with all of the other school councillors and they decide as a team how to move forward with these ideas.
Our school council work to celebrate so far ...
